Exciting news for level 4 students we have been selected to submit a design piece for the Chelsea Flower show 2012 college stand. Serenity Flowers will be demonstrating on behalf of the Academy of Floristry where Rebecca is currently studying for her level 4.
We now need to submit a design scheme then wait to see if we have been selected to exhibit.

Went to J. van Vliet this morning for their grand open day. Lots of intersting products on sale at a good price. Meet up with a couple of the girls from Bournemouth and Poole college. There was also a dutch Floral designer demonstating his skills throughout the morning, Jaap Wisse. He made some simple designs, ideal for contracts and showed us some new techniques.
Bournemouth and Poole college very kindly invited me to represent the college at there stand at the Chelsea Flower Show 2009. Myself and 11 other girls, and 3 lecturers, each had a time slot in which to show off the work the girls had designed. Fantastic day out, great weather…. some lovely gardens to look at. I had expected Chelsea to be bigger, but none the less i was impressed with what it had to offer.
